3/21 – 3/24 | Miami Music Week Powered By Beck’s Access

10 days, 60 events, 100’s of artists. Our task is to capture as much of it as possible for those who can’t be here and those who might need a little help remembering.

During Miami Music Week, the dance music community will descend on the city and Beck’s Access is unlocking the best of the best. We’ve partnered with the most innovative event creators and venues to enhance the dance music experience. Along the way we’ll be creating exclusive content for you to enjoy.

We got started on Saturday night with Simian Mobile Disco at the Electric Pickle. This huge act typically plays bigger spaces but chose to play the pickle due to it’s incomparable vibe and intimacy. This fantastic DJ loves the musical atmosphere curated by our Beck’s Access partners SAFE and The Electric Pickle. The show was magic, he played a driving, deep techno set with darker grooves.

Fast forward to Tuesday night on South Beach:

Beck’s Access event creators Minimax, Un_Mute and Bespoke Musik presented German wunderkinds Andhim who brought their blistering “Superhouse’ sound to Tree House Miami’s main room. This special event was the introduction of their “Andhim & Friends” concept to the US market. A tried and true formula that has seen success all over Europe, the guys invited a handful of their like-mind house music aficionados to join them on stage.

For this installment, the lineup included Kolsch, the newest pseudonym for an artist that found a great deal of success with former moniker Rune; deep & melodic live act Rampue, New York  Thugfucker, Spanish melodic tech-house rising star Uner and Miami favorite & Bespoke Musik resident Baez.

A little further down South Beach at Trade, the French trio Appolonia brought their signature sound to a packed room looking to get Miami Music Week started early. While Shonky, Dyed Soundroom and Dan Ghenacia are typically a big draw, this crowd on a Tuesday night was impressive. The guys hit the decks earlier than expected at 12am and had the room rocking until close.

During the last few days, we’ve been preparing ourselves for the rest of the week. Miami Music Week is a marathon, not a sprint and we have have 60 events powered by Beck’s Access to cover. We look forward to bringing you more daily recaps, exclusive interviews, DJ mixes, photos, and video.
