28 Mar 3/27 | Miami Music Week Powered By Beck’s Access
It’s Friday of Miami Music Week and some of the biggest events of the week are happening across town. Your connection to the best of Miami Music Week, Beck’s Access was on hand to document some of the most exciting events so far.
Our first stop was the Crew Love which featured the usual cast of characters from the fun-loving crew, including: Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, Nick Monaco (live), No Regular Play, Life on Planets (live), Tanner Ross and David Marston. It was an intimate party for an eclectic mix of MMW/WMC attendees with sophisticated taste in music. David Marston, a 24 year old from Jamaica was added last minute and amazed the small group of people that came out early with his live Ableton set including a guitar. The heavy downpour at one point didn’t stop the crowd, who jumped underneath the DJ tent and kept dancing as Life on Planets vocalist joined David Marston. Fantastic sets from Tanner Ross and the rest of the Crew Love kept people dancing until well into the morning. They kept it fresh with sexy, funky beats making it interesting throughout the night with a rich array of influences that spanned from jazzy to disco-ey to hip hop-ish and even rock from the live guitars.

Next up was the nighttime version of Circo Loco at Mana. This huge bacchannal featuring some fantastic talent and brought the legendary Ibiza party vibe to Miami. Stacked from top to bottom, the lineup featured Tale Of Us, Matthias Tanzmann, Dyed Soundorom, Dan Ghenacia, Agoria, Shonky, Kenny Glasgow, Laura Jones, Nastia, DJ-Wild, and Andrew Grant, with Nastia being the only newcomer.

Finally, the night wasn’t complete with the massive events at Trade in the heart of South Beach. In Room 1, Mano Le Tough and The Drifter went back to back all night showcasing the Maeve sound in what was one of the musical highlights for us throughout the week. If there was any doubt as to the quality of the Maeve lineup, one of the most respected DJs in the industry, Dixon, was in attendance for a large portion of the night.
Room 2 featured the Ellum Showcase with Maceo Plex, Danny Daze and Shall Ocin, bringing the hometown favorites to a Miami Music Week showcase for the record label for the first time. Fantastic vibes and an endless sea of smiling faces brought the upstairs to a roaring conclusion at the end of the night as the boys from Miami delivered the goods to the eager crowd.
